The Dubois County Museum would like to personally invite you to “Little Critters Day”, one in a series of programs in their “Little Pioneers Kid’s Room, on Saturday, May 7, beginning at 10:30am in an Open House format, and closing at noon.  This program is geared to only Preschool age children, ages 3-6.  This hands on morning will have lots of “buggy fun”.  Games, crafts, fine and gross motor skills, snacks and a story time that is all about bugs, critters, and insects.  $3 fee for participants, accompanying adults are free.  RSVP is required by emailing [email protected].  To ensure your spot, a returning confirmation will be sent.

The “Little Pioneers” hands-on kids’ room is filled with fun and imagination to experience anytime you visit.  Young visitors are invited to climb aboard the Lewis and Clark keel boat for a river expedition, dress up in pioneer clothes from Grandma’s Attic, construct log structures with wooden toys, read in the Reading Nook and conduct a class in the schoolhouse.

The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00-2:00pm, Saturday from 10:00-4:00pm and Sunday 1:00-4:00pm.  It is closed on Monday. The Dubois County Museum is a local non profit organization committed to the collection, preservation and interpretation of historical artifacts and information important to the citizens of the county.  Museum operations are funded by annual memberships, lobby admissions, donations and gifts from visitors, area residents and businesses.   The DCM staff consists entirely of volunteers.  It is located in Jasper at 2704 N.
